In I9S5. the State Government enacted an Edict (No. 12 of 19S5) which formalized the establishment of the institution as an autonomous body with its Governing Council. His Royal Highness. Alhaji (Dr.) Muhammad Kabir Umar. (Emir of K.iiagum). was appointed the first Chairman of the Hoard of Governing Council, and served from 1985- 1991, after which His Royal Highness the Late Alhaji (Dr.) Sulaiman Adnmu, the late Emir of Bauchi was appointed the 2nd Chairman from 1992-1998. His Royal Highness. Alhaji Yunusa Muhammad Danyaya (Emir of Ningi) took over from May. 1998 to 2000 as the 3rd Chairman of the Governing Council of the College.  read more
